Terms of Service

Last updated: 29 October 2026

These terms govern the use of Rodarion, its web app, API, CLI and MCP server, provided by Cubera Solutions AG, General-Wille-Strasse 96, 8706 Feldmeilen, Switzerland (“Cubera”, “we”). The customer is the company that holds a Rodarion account (“you”).

1. Business customers only

Rodarion is offered to businesses only. By creating an account, you confirm that you act for a business and may accept these terms on its behalf. Your own terms and conditions do not apply, even if you refer to them, unless we agree to them in writing.

2. Account and contract

The contract is concluded when you create an account, by signing up or by claiming a trial, and choose your password. Keep your password and API tokens confidential. You are responsible for everything done with your account and tokens, including by people, CI jobs or AI agents you give access to. Self-hosting, custom work and other services are agreed separately.

3. Trials

A trial can be created without an account, also by an AI agent acting for you. It is limited in keys, projects and time as stated on the pricing page. These terms apply to the use of a trial; claiming it creates an account under section 2. Unclaimed trials and all their content are deleted when they expire.

4. Plans, limits and fair use

Plans, prices and limits are those shown on the pricing page when you choose a plan. Where a plan is described as unlimited, it has no fixed limit for the normal use of a software project’s translations. To protect the service against abuse and errors, we apply technical limits, for example on requests per minute and on stored keys per account; if your normal use reaches one, we raise it on request. We may change the Free plan and its limits, and announce changes that reduce it at least 30 days in advance.

5. Paid plans

Paid plans are sold through our online reseller Paddle.com, which is the merchant of record for these orders and handles payment, invoicing and taxes; Paddle’s buyer terms apply to the purchase. Where we agree otherwise in writing, we invoice you directly. Prices exclude VAT and sales tax, which are added where applicable. Subscriptions are billed in advance and renew for the same period until cancelled. A cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. Within 30 days of a payment, you can ask for a full refund of that payment, as set out in our refund policy; later, amounts already paid are not refunded unless the law or Paddle’s buyer terms provide otherwise. We announce price changes at least 30 days before they apply to your next period, and you can cancel before then. If a payment remains outstanding after a reminder, we may move the account to the Free plan.

6. Your content

Your keys, translations, comments, screenshots and other content remain yours. You grant us the right to store, process, translate and display your content as far as needed to provide Rodarion to you. We use it for no other purpose: it is not shared with other customers and not used to train AI models. You are responsible for your content being lawful and for holding the rights to it, and you indemnify us against third-party claims arising from it. Your repository remains the source of your texts; Rodarion syncs with it but does not replace your own version control and backups.

7. Machine translation and connected services

Machine translation runs with your own provider key, under your contract with that provider. When you configure a provider or connect an AI app, you instruct us to send the texts concerned to it. The provider’s terms apply, and we are not responsible for its availability or its output. Machine translations start as “review needed”; checking them before you release them is up to you.

8. Acceptable use

You may not use Rodarion to store or distribute unlawful content, to attack, probe or overload the service, to circumvent its limits (for example with several trials or accounts), to access other customers’ data or to resell access. Reverse engineering the service or the CLI is not permitted, except where the law expressly allows it. We may suspend access that endangers the service or other customers and will inform you; for serious or repeated breaches, we may terminate the contract.

9. Availability and support

We aim for an availability of 99.5% per year, excluding announced maintenance; this is a target, not a guarantee. Support is provided by e-mail to hello@rodarion.com on Swiss working days, without guaranteed response times. We develop Rodarion further and may change or remove features; changes that substantially reduce a paid plan are announced at least 30 days in advance.

10. Data protection and security

How we handle personal data as controller is described in the privacy policy. For personal data in your content and in your users’ accounts, we act as your processor under the Data Processing Agreement, which forms part of these terms. Cubera operates an information security management system certified to ISO/IEC 27001. Security vulnerabilities can be reported to security@cubera.ch.

11. Liability

We provide Rodarion with the care customary in the industry and fix reproducible defects within a reasonable time. We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence and for personal injury. Liability for slight negligence, for indirect and consequential damage and for lost profit is excluded as far as the law permits. Otherwise, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the damaging event.

12. Term and termination

The contract runs for an indefinite period. You can terminate it at any time by writing to hello@rodarion.com; a paid plan then ends at the end of the paid period. We can terminate it with 30 days’ notice, for a paid plan at the earliest at the end of the paid period, and at any time for good cause, in particular a serious breach of section 8 or non-payment after a reminder. You can export your translations at any time through the CLI or the API. After termination, we delete your data as described in the Data Processing Agreement.

13. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. We inform you of changes by e-mail at least 30 days before they take effect; if you do not agree, you can terminate the contract before then. Otherwise, the new terms apply from that date.

14. Final provisions

These terms are governed by Swiss law, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The courts at Cubera’s registered office in Meilen, Switzerland, have exclusive jurisdiction; Cubera may also bring proceedings at your registered office. If a provision is invalid, the others remain valid, and the invalid one is replaced by a provision that comes as close as possible to its economic purpose. We may transfer the contract to a company that takes over Rodarion and will inform you in advance.
