# CI

> Scaffold a workflow that promotes merged branches and commits the refreshed language files, or downloads approved translations for a release.

`rodarion ci <platform>` writes a ready-to-use workflow file for your CI. Supported platforms:
`github`, `gitlab`, `bitbucket`, `gitea`, `forgejo` and `azure`.

## Promote on merge

```bash
rodarion ci github --promotion
```

The workflow runs whenever a branch is merged into your default branch. It installs the
CLI, runs `rodarion promote` for the merged branch, and commits the refreshed language files
back to the repository. Add your API token as a CI secret named `RODARION_API_KEYS` (same JSON
format as in `.env`).

If a workflow never calls `promote`, `rodarion up` on a feature branch prints a warning, so
forgotten shadows do not pile up.

Tagging the commit for a deployment is off by default. The generated file contains a
commented `RODARION_DEPLOY_TAG` line; enable it only if a new git tag triggers your deploys.

## Release downloads

```bash
rodarion ci github --release --branch release --name prod
```

Writes a workflow that downloads translations for a release branch, typically from a config
block with `"status_minimum": "approved"` so only reviewed texts ship.

## Install step on any runner

The generated workflows install the CLI from the public release repository and verify the
download against its checksum, so they work on bare Docker runners without Homebrew.
